Eric Barba

Eric Barba is an American special effects artist.

Life

Barba attended the private College Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. From the mid- 1990s, he worked for television. For Steven Spielberg's SeaQuest DSV, he worked as a CGI animator, after which he oversaw the digital special effects the series Sliders - The gate into a strange dimension. As a result, he got a job at Digital Domain, where his first work Luc Besson's sci-fi film was The Fifth Element. In 2009 he was awarded for his work on The Curious Case of Benjamin Button with the Oscar and the British Academy Film Award.
