Eric Brewer

Eric Brewer ( born April 17, 1979 in Vernon, British Columbia) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who plays for the Tampa Bay Lightning in the National Hockey League since February 2011.

Career

The 1.93 m tall defender started his career with the Prince George Cougars in the Canadian junior Western Hockey League before being selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1997 as a fifth in the first round by the New York Islanders ( drafted ) was.

In February 2011, the Blues gave him off in a transfer business in exchange for a third-round vote in the NHL Entry Draft in 2011 and the rights to Brock Beukeboom to the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Internationally

With the Canadian National Hockey Team Brewer won the gold medal at the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City and the World Cup of Hockey 2004. During the Ice Hockey World Championship 2001, he was third with Team Canada. 2003, 2004 and 2007 he won the World Championship title with the national team.
