Eric Jensen

Eric Jensen ( born 1 February 1970) is a Canadian race car driver and team owner. He is the son of racing driver Bruce Jensen.

Racing career

Jensen began his motorsport career 1992. 1997 and 1998 he went up to each one of the Indy Lights race and remained both races without points. In 1999 he founded the racing team Jensen Motor Sport, for which he took in the Atlantic Championship from this season. From 1999 to 2002, he launched a total of 16 races in that league, never played more than half a season. In 2003 he took part in eleven out of twelve races in the Atlantic Championship, scoring his first points. With an eighth place as best result he finished the season in twelfth. This season represented the only played in Jensen half the race. In 2004 he completed another half season in the Atlantic Championship. An eighth place was his best result again and he finished 15th in the championship. In 2005 he took up only a third of the race. With a fifth place he achieved his best result this season in the Atlantic Championship, finishing in 14 championship course.

2008 Jensen returned for two Atlantic championship race as a driver in motor sports. He finished the season starting on the 25th place. In 2009, Jensen participated in three races of the last Atlantic championship season. He finished every race in the top ten pilots and was twelfth in the championship.

2011 Jensen returned for a race in the Indy Lights. He failed the qualification.

Career as a team owner

Jensen in 1999 founded the racing team Jensen Motor Sport. The team was active from its inception to the end of the race series 2009 in the Atlantic Championship. Since 2011 he takes in the Indy Lights. In 2005, the team participated in a Champ Car race. Fabrizio del Monte was doing the pilot of the team.
