Eric Lichtenstein

Eric Lichtenstein ( born October 6, 1994, Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine racing driver. He started in 2013 in the GP3 Series.

Career

Lichtenstein began his motorsport career in 2003 in karting, where he remained active until 2011 and won several league titles in Argentina. In the season 2010/2011 he also started his career in touring car in the Argentine Top Race Series. There he was with a podium placing eleventh. In addition, he took in 2011 to some races in Formula racing part. In the Formula Pilota China Series he started to three of six race weekends, in the Argentine series Fórmula Metropolitana, he completed two races. 2012, Lichtenstein decided on a move to Europe in the British Formula Ford Jamun Racing. Lichtenstein started eleven times from the pole position and won with eleven wins from 23 races more races than any opponent. Nevertheless, it was enough at the end of the season not to win the title and he was third overall. In addition, he participated in all twelve races of the Formula Ford Euro Cup, which had no overall, in part. There he scored three wins and five pole positions.

For the season 2013 Lichtenstein received a cockpit with Carlin in the GP3 Series. After the fifth race weekend he lost his cockpit, as his sponsor Velociudad Driver management had not paid the contractual payments. Unlike his teammate Nick Yelloly and his successor Alexander Sims Lichtenstein remained without pedestal placement and no points. He was 22 in the driver standings.
