Eric Mitchell

Eric Mitchell (born 10 April 1992) is a former Canadian ski jumper.

Mitchell was in February 2008 in Whistler made ​​his debut in the FIS Cup. In March 2008 he started there in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup and won the 27 and 29 at first attempt COC points, but these two competitions were also sparse. The 2007/08 season he finished with six points at No. 138 overall.

In the 2008 /09 season he joined the first time in a European Continental Cup, but could not score.

Only in the 2009/10 season he succeeded again the leap towards scoring points. At the Olympic Winter Games 2010 Mitchell dropped out already in the qualification in the individual competition of the normal and of the large hill. In the team competition, he reached the 12th place with his team-mates MacKenzie Boyd - Clowes, Trevor Morrice and Stefan Read.

On 12 January 2011 he reached 15th place while jumping in the Korean Pyeongchang his best placement in the Continental Cup.

In summer 2011, he won a FIS Cup in Szczyrk. In the season 2011/2012, however, he won the Continental Cup points with no jumping. At the Junior World Championship 2012 in Erzurum, he finished 27th place. At the end of the season, he finished at the Canadian Championships in Whistler both the normal and the large hill in fourth place. Also in the 2012/2013 season he won the Continental Cup no points.

On September 4, 2013 Mitchell announced his resignation as an active ski jumper, we would just focus on his studies at the University of Calgary.
