Eric Orie

Eric Orie (2008)

Eric Orie ( born January 25, 1968 in Utrecht) is a Dutch football player and coach.

Career

Orie began his career with VVV Venlo and the Elinkwijk Utrecht in his home country, the Netherlands. In 1993 he first came to Austria and signed with Austria Wien, a total of Orie played 15 times for the Austria and scored eight goals. About VfB Mödling and VSE St. Pölten Orie came to England for Blackpool FC, from where he moved to Gela Juve Terra Nova to Italy.

Later he returned to Austria and played one season at ASK Kottingbrunn. In 1998, he came as a player for FC Lustenau. After Orie was only four years as a player under contract of Vorarlberg, in 2002 he was initially for half a year player-coach and took over the team in a row, then complete. During his time at FC Lustenau he was player-manager, manager, sports director and coach. In 2007 he was honored as Coach of the Year in Vorarlberg.

On 17 March 2009 Orie was discharged from FC Lustenau and replaced by Nenad Bjelica. On 12 April 2010 he took over as coach of FC Vaduz in the Swiss Challenge League, succeeding Pierre Littbarski. In 2010 he was elected to Liechtenstein's coach of the year. Due to the negative developments made in the 2011/2012 season which was originally to Summer 2013 existing contractual relationship was terminated.
