Eric Papilaya
Eric Papilaya ( born June 9, 1978 in Vöcklabruck ) is an Austrian musician from Laakirchen.
Life
Eric Papilaya is the son of an Indonesian father and an Austrian. He is a trained graphic designer and lives in Vienna.
Career
He was a participant in the third season of Star Mania. He reached there in fifth place and could be the first participant his song " All that you are" already present in a final broadcast. Later he was allowed to represent Austria at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2007.
Actually Eric Papilaya launched on Star Mania with the pseudonym Ric. After the end of the show Star Mania the competent commercial court in Vienna has issued a temporary injunction in favor of another musician that occurs with the pseudonym RIK for years. Thus Papilaya should not appear under this artist name for the time of the hearing. There is still no decision until April 2009.
Before Star Mania Papilaya has sung in several bands as the band " Milk", which he founded, or the cover band STREETLIFE. Even before Papilaya has published his first work, he was selected by the ORF as a representative at the Song Contest 2007. He's there, the official Life Ball Song 2007 Get A Life - Get Alive sung, but already retired in the semifinals with the 27th and last place of. The title was originally written for Anastacia and composed, but she declined the recording during their cancer treatment in 2003.
The end of 2007 the project took Papilaya song of the "New Austrian" part. The song made it to number 9 of the Ö3 Austria Top 40
On 6 June 2008 Eric Papilayas new single " All I Know " was released.
As the only participant of Star Mania Eric Papilaya allowed to attend tours at two Star Mania. The ORF Enterprise hired him for in March 2009 over the previous stage Tour of season 4.
Currently Eric Papilaya works in pulse 4 Studio as an expert
