Eric Red

Eric Red ( born February 16, 1961 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is an American film director and screenwriter.

Life and work

His debut as a screenwriter and director, he was in 1981 with the film Gunmen 's Blues, a short film starring Matt Dillon in the lead role. Five years later with Telephone another short film. 1986 Red wrote for the horror film The Hitcher, the Highway Killer the script. In 2007, he was also involved in the remake The Hitcher as an author. 1989 turned Red with Hitman - Cohen & Tate his first feature film. Two years later, the horror film Body Parts. For this work he was nominated for the 1992 Saturn Award for Best Director. As a screenwriter, he was involved in two projects of director Kathryn Bigelow, and he also wrote the screenplays for his own films.
