Eric Van Lancker

Eric Van Lancker ( born April 30, 1961 in Oudenaarde ) is a former Belgian racing cyclist and current sports director.

Eric Van Lancker was professional racing drivers of 1984 to 1996. 1984 he finished third in Paris -Brussels, 1985, he won the British Milk Race. In 1988, he came second in the Tour of Belgium, where he also won a stage and the points classification, and the Tour of Lombardy. In 1989 he won the Amstel Gold Race, in 1990 Liège -Bastogne -Liège, 1991, the Wincanton Classic and 1994 Halle- Ingooigem.

Van Lancker has also had several stage victories in classics and tours for themselves. In 1985 he won a stage of the Tour of Denmark, in 1986 one of Paris - Nice ( on the Mont Ventoux ), the Giro d' Italia and the Tour de Suisse. In 1988, he chose a stage of the Tour de Cantabria for himself and in 1989 one of the Basque Country Tour. Seven times he competed in the Tour de France, but without much success.

After ending his career as a racer Van Lancker was sports director of various teams. Since 2011 he has worked for the Garmin team.
