Erich Hamann
Erich Hamann ( born November 27, 1944 in Pasewalk ) was midfielder at FC Vorwärts Frankfurt / Oder. Previously, he played from the age of 14 in Pasewalk football, came 1961 BSG Turbine Neubrandenburg and in February 1966 for steel ironworks city.
In his international career with a total of three appearances for the GDR selection Hamann wrote a piece of sporting history: From him the decisive pass came on Jürgen saving water, which, as free play, the famous 1-0 for the East against the West German team at the World Cup 1974 achieved. Saving water later said: " 50 percent of the gate include Erich Hamann ".
From 1982 to 1989 worked Hamann, who had been trained as a certified physical education teacher, as a coach at FC forward. Subsequently, he was responsible for various sub-class clubs in the state of Brandenburg and the U21 national team of Vietnam. In July 2009, Hamann took over the men's team of Angermünder FC, which plays in the national class Brandenburg.
