Erich Meier

Erich Meier ( born March 30, 1935 † February 8, 2010 in Wallau ) was a German football player, who won the German championship as a left winger for Eintracht Frankfurt in 1959. His main job was a precision mechanic.

Eintracht Frankfurt

Erich Meier had his moments in the European games 1959/60, in which he was able to achieve four goals in six games. Thus his nickname " floodlight - Meier " was born. In the final on 18 May in Glasgow against Real Madrid, he was allowed to accumulate, and in the semi-final game at Rangers he scored a 6-3 win concord two goals. Meier moved to Round 1962/63 1 FC Kaiserslautern in the Football Oberliga West. He played an excellent round with 27 inserts and 21 goals and celebrated with the Betz Mountain Elf the championship. In the first year of the Football League, 1963/64, he entered in 20 games on the Palatine, scoring eleven goals on the side of the Dutch half left Jacobus Prins. His career ended 1966/67, at AGOVV Apeldoorn, after he had played before 1965/66 at VV Alkmaar '54.
