Erich Srbek

Erich Srbek ( born June 4, 1908 in Prague, † February 24, 1973 ) was a Czechoslovakian football player and coach.

Club career

Srbek played until 1930 for the DFC Prague. The majority of his career spent the midfielder at Sparta Prague. With Sparta Srbek 1932 and 1936 Czechoslovak champion, the 1935 team won the Mitropa Cup. Overall Srbek appearances for Sparta 1930-1937 282 games. In 1938 he moved to Victoria Zizkov and finished his career in 1939.

In a total of 105 first division matches Srbek scored two goals, both in the season 1933/34.

In 35 games for Sparta Mitropa Srbek managed a hit: the 2-1 victory in the second leg of the repeat game against Hungaria FC on 11 July 1934, the Czech shot in the 85th minute winner for Sparta, after the 1:2 - first leg defeat a sixth game between the two teams made ​​it necessary. This game ended in a 1-1 tie, Sparta reached the quarterfinals by lot, left on there from against SK Admira Vienna.

National

Srbek debuted on October 26, 1930 in a 1-1 draw against Hungary in Budapest in the Czechoslovak national team. Coaching career

Srbek coached from 1948 to 1952 Sparta Prague and led the team to the 1952 national champion. From 1956 to 1958, the former national team was once again working as a coach at Sparta.
