Erick Thohir
Erick Thohir (* May 30, 1970 in Jakarta ) is an Indonesian businessman and president of the Italian soccer club Inter Milan.
Life
Thohir was born the son of Teddy Thohir, co-owner of the conglomerate Astra International, together with William Soeryadjaya. His brother Garibaldi Thohir is an investment banker. In addition Thohir has a sister, Rika Thohir.
Even as a child the young Thohir had early contact with the family. In 1993, he received his master's degree in the United States. Today is Thohir father of four children.
Career
After his return to Indonesia, he and Muhammad Lutfi, Wisnu Wardhana and R. Harry Zulnardy the Mahaka group.
In 2001, the Mahaka Group bought the newspaper Republika, which faced bankruptcy in 2009. Because Thohirs experience in the communications industry, he was selected to take over the management of the newspaper.
