Erie is a city in Neosho County in southeastern Kansas in the United States. At the 2000 census it had 1,211 inhabitants. It is the administrative center of the county of Neosho County.

According to tradition, the place in 1866 was created by the merger of the north- west in the town center from the current Old Erie and the south-east lie the place Crawfordsville.
