Erigone is a genus of canopy spiders. The approximately 163 species in this genus are a maximum of 1.5 to three millimeters in size and colonize individual- rich world all climates including arctic and alpine habitats and coastlines, where even the intertidal zone.
In Central Europe, about 14 species are endemic. The most common are Erigone atra ( probably the most common web spider in Central Europe) arctica, Erigone dentipalpis and Erigone.
