Erik Abrahamsson

Erik Abrahamsson (Erik Adolf Efraim " But Erik " Abrahamsson; born January 28, 1898 in Södertälje, † May 19, 1965 ) was a Swedish long jumper and hockey player.

At the Olympic Games in Antwerp in 1920, he won the bronze medal with 7.08 m behind compatriot William Petersson (7.15 m ) and the American Carl Johnson ( 7,095 m). From 1921 to 1923 he was for three consecutive times Swedish champion. His personal best jump of 7.12 meters, he turned up in Gothenburg on July 1, 1923.

When Hockey Championship 1921, he was with the Swedish national team European champion ( only opponent was Czechoslovakia ).

In 1925, he suggested in his sports club Södertälje SK at the foundation of a hockey department. In the first year he was with the new team Swedish Champion.
