Erik Braadland

Erik Braadland ( born November 21, 1910 in Idd, † 14 July 1988 ) was a Norwegian diplomat and politician.

Career

Braadland was the son of Major and deputies Birger Braadland. After entering the Foreign Service of the Kingdom of Norway, he came to work in Stockholm in 1945 to Germany. From 1947 on, he was counselor of legation in the Norwegian military mission in Berlin, and from 1948 to 1952 whose deputy chairman. From 1951 to 1952 he was also affaires of the Royal. Norwegian Embassy in Bonn. He then worked as an envoy in Belgrade from 1952 to 1954, as ambassador to Moscow from 1954 to 1958 and as Ambassador in London from 1959 until 1961.

After his election to the Storting in 1961 he left the Foreign Service. The Norwegian Parliament he was a member as representative of the Senterpartiet to 1969.
