Erik Hajas

Erik Hajas ( born September 16, 1962 in Huddinge ) is a former Swedish handball player.

Hajas played in Sweden for IFK Tumba Handboll, SoIK Hellas and IF Guif and in Spain in Puerto de la Cruz. In the seasons 1986/87, 1988/89, 1994/95, 1995/96, 1996/97 and 1997/98 he was top scorer in the Elitserien.

He played 281 matches for the Swedish national team, in which he scored 996 goals, and with whom he won the 1990 World Cup in Czechoslovakia and the European Championship 1994 in Portugal. With Sweden, he participated in the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, 1992 Barcelona and 1996 in Atlanta part, where he in 1992 and 1996, won the silver medal.

After the end of his active career he became coach of IFK Tumba.
