Erik-Jan De Boer

Erik -Jan De Boer ( * March 1967 in Amsterdam) is a native of the Netherlands oscar winning film technician who specializes in visual effects, working for the company Rhythm & Hues.

Life

De Boer studied the end of the 80s fashion in Utrecht, but eventually switched for image and media technology to London. After seven years there, he went public in 1996 on the advice of his mother to Los Angeles at Rhythm & Hues. His debut in Hollywood was De Boer 1996 with the award-winning The English Patient strip. This was followed by films like Stuart Little, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion of Narnia and The Golden Compass.

2013 De Boer won the Academy Award for best visual effects for the drama of Aang Lee Life of Pi: Life of Pi.
