Erik Lesser

Erik Lesser (born 17 May 1988 in Suhl ) is a German biathlete. His biggest success is winning the silver medal in the 20 km individual competition at the Olympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi.

Erik Lesser, grandson of Skilangläufers Axel Lesser, lives in Zella-Mehlis and trained mainly in Oberhof. His coach is Mark Kirchner, before Peter Sendel. Lesser began at the age of six years with the cross-country skiing and in 1999 at the age of eleven years to biathlon. The graduate of the Sports Gymnasium Oberhof will start for the SV Eintracht Frankenhain.
