Erika Mann (politician)

Erika Mann ( born November 2, 1950 in Leipzig ) is a German politician and from 1994 to 2009 Member of the European Parliament for the Social Democratic Party.

Life and career

Erika Mann is a graduate teacher and worked at the University of Hannover. In addition, she works as a consultant in the IT sector.

Policy

Erika Mann joined the SPD in 1972 and since 1995 has been a board member of the Association of self / Association Management ( AGS / AGW) in the SPD Hanover district. She was until 1996 the district council deputy of the district Northeim.

From 1994 to 2009 she was a member of the European Parliament for the Party of European Socialists (PES ).
