Geography

Geographical Location

Ering is in the region Landshut directly on the Inn, which also forms the border with Austria. From the broad river valley in the south it goes to the north into tertiary typical Lower Bavarian hills with forests, meadows and agricultural properties. Ering is located directly on the B 12 and A 94 in the future about 24 km southeast of the county town parish churches, 11 km northeast of Simbach, 18 km south-west of Pocking and 43 km from Passau and 38 km from Burghausen.

There are the districts Ering, Münchham and Kirn.

History

The first mention of Aeringa dates from the year 725 in a donation to the St. Stephen's Church in Passau three properties were given by a certain Uttinhus at this church. ( Monumenta Boica XXVIII, 2.55 ). HAB p.34.

In 1009, Emperor Henry II ( the Saint), the rule Ering with everything that belonged to the Bishopric of Bamberg. Nearly 300 years had the Bamberg bishops call the shots.

In 1174 Duke Henry the Lion held in Ering parliament. This was a big party with drinking and the like events. It is fair to assume that because of the Heren Kirta took its origin.

Bishop Arnold had 1296 pledge possession Ering to the Counts of neck. To those of neck also included the castle Erneck. Enemies of Halser 1330 stormed the castle Erneck and burned it down. It was rebuilt and stood until 1504 on the hills north of Ering.

In the days of August 1504 alongside Erneck also Julbach and Stubenberg went up in flames and burned down completely. So went the rule Ering - Erneck who are in possession of the Bavarian dukes of Bavaria -Landshut was over since 1377.

The Wittelsbach care court Ering with Mrs. Stone and the Hofmark Mining was sold in 1508 by Duke Albrecht IV of Bavaria to the brothers Paumgartner for their achievements in the Landshut War of Succession on Monday after St. Dorothea day for 13,500 guilders (excluding sovereign's authority and neck Court ). The rule included castle Fraunstain (which now repeatedly broken ), the rule Erneck including the castle stables (which was in ruins ), Hofbau, tavern, forging, Badstüben, mills, villages Mining, Ering, Digging, Malching, Münchham, Kühstein, Griesser, among others Marriage for life. A list of all possessions, revenues and rights is written in the land register of the castle Ering.

The Paumgartner ( Baumgartner ) in 1523 acquired the castle reign of Ering. They acquired, as stated in the deed, " the brick residence situated in the parish church by the Cemetery ". The former dominions were the Rose Stingl and the Knights Gogkendorfer. The Gogkendorfer were extinct in the male line, and the only daughter sold the heritage because she was sickly.

Ering belonged to Rentamt Burghausen and the district court Mörmoosen of the Electorate of Bavaria. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community.

Incorporations

On January 1, 1971, until then independent municipality Münchham was incorporated.

Population Development

Policy

Mayor Joseph is nine (SPD - list), elected in March 2008 for the second year in a row. The municipal council from 2008 to 2014 consists of the seats: CSU 5; SPD 5; FWG Münchham 1; FCWG - Kirn 1

The municipal tax revenue amounted to the equivalent of 1348 T € in 1999, which amounted to the trade tax revenues ( net) converted 737 T €.

Blazon: Azure, over golden Wellenschildfuß of a braided golden fence growing a golden lion.

The Wellenschildfuß, a river icon represents the location of the municipality at the Inn. The growing of the Flechtwerkzaun lion is from the coat of arms of the Counts of paumgarten that by 1508 over the centuries as the owner of dominion Ering, a closed Hofmark with an extended basic rule are provable. The counts of paumgarten were as owner of Patrimonialgerichts Ering until the mid 19th century by importance.

  • Eringer castle. The first castle on a hill Erneck was destroyed during the Landshut War of Succession 1504. On the foundations of an old Ansitzes in Hofmark a broad and representative palace complex was from 1523 in several stages through the Paumgartner gradually built. By Johann Joseph Franz Albrecht Thaddeus Earl of paumgarten this was again redesigned and completed in 1772. Current owner is Paul Daniel Graf Esterházy of galanthamine. The castle is privately owned and not open to visitors.

Economy and infrastructure

Economy, agriculture and forestry

It was in 1998 according to official statistics in the field of agriculture and forestry 4, 107 in manufacturing and in trade and transport 25 persons work at the workplace. In other areas, were employed to social security at the workplace 55 people. Personalities

  • Damasus II: On January 25, 1048 certain Emperor Henry III. born in Pildenau Bishop Poppo of Brixen to the Pope as a successor to Clement II; he reigned only 23 days, from 17 July to 9 August 1048.

  • Max Inzinger ( born 1945 ), former TV chef
  • Joseph Rathgeber sen., Founder of the car factory Josef Rathgeber, was born on February 26, 1810 in Ering am Inn, had learned the trade of a blacksmith, and on June 21, 1839 for 5500 fl ( guilders) the real Hufschmiedgerechtsamkeit by Ernst Bräuer at the stables Street 7 acquired in Munich. On November 19, 1839 Civil Rights was awarded Joseph Rathgeber by the magistrate Munich. On February 16, 1841 Rathgeber married the Munich baker's daughter Maria Kellerer. This couple had 10 children, including on February 15, 1846 Joseph Rathgeber jun. and on April 11, 1857 Rudolf Eduard Rathgeber, who took over his father's business later.
