Eritrean Liberation Front

The Eritrean Liberation Front (Italian Fronte di Liberation Eritreo, English Eritrean Liberation Front, ELF ) is a Marxist- dominated Eritrean organization.

The flag of the Eritrean Liberation Front is sky blue and shows in the center a yellow olive branch surrounded by a same-colored olive branch wreath. The olive branch wreath shows left and right, each with 14 sheets. She was 1950-1962, the official flag of Eritrea.

The clashes between the Eritrean Liberation Front and the Popular Front for Democracy and Justice, which represents the new dictatorial government of Eritrea, take on even in independent Eritrea.

History

One of the founders of the ELF was Hamid Idris Awate.

She struggled from the beginning of the 1960s military for the independence of Eritrea from Ethiopia. This child soldiers were, as in Africa often used.

In the 1970s, the Eritrean People's Liberation Front broke away from the ELF.
