Eriz

Eriz is a municipality in the administrative district of Thun in the canton of Bern in Switzerland.

Geography

The place is located in the upper part of the Zulgtals on the southern slope of Honegg and on the western slope of the Hohgant. The municipality is divided into the two parts of municipalities Aussereriz with the hamlets Äppenschwendi, Buhl, Kapfern ' and Losenegg and Innereriz with the hamlets offer, Holding, Linden, Lower and Matt Scheid fence. Of the total area of ​​2180 ha municipality 45.1% are agricultural land, 44.0 % is covered by forest and woodland, 8.4% is unproductive area and only 2.6 % settlement area.

Population

Beginning of 2005, the municipality had 516 inhabitants. Of these, 508 ( = 98.45 %), Swiss nationals and eight persons immigrants from abroad.

The voting shares of the parties at the national elections of 2011 were: SVP 77.0 %, 11.6 % BDP, SP 3.8 %, EDU 1.7 %, FDP 1.4 %, 1.1 % EPP, GPS 1.1 %, 0.5 % glp, CVP 0.2 %.
