Erkki Aaltonen

Erkki Aaltonen ( born August 17, 1910 in Hämeenlinna, Finland, † March 8, 1990 in Helsinki) was a Finnish composer.

He was a violin student at the Sibelius Academy and learned to compose privately by Väinö Raitio and Selim Palmgren. From 1966 to 1973 he headed the Kemi Music Institute. His music selection was often topical nature.
