Erlaaer Straße (Vienna U-Bahn)

The station Erlaaer street of Vienna's U -Bahn on the line U6 in the 23rd district of Vienna Liesing located in high elevation north of the Erlaaer road, east of the cemetery Erlaaer and south of the parking and servicing hall Alterlaa. As part of the Southern extension of the U6 to Siebenhirten, it was opened on 15 April 1995. Southwest of the station extends the industrial site Liesing.

In the architecture of all new stations of the U6 - Südastes a new deformation technology of aluminum profiled sheeting was applied ( the Pull-through ), which allowed the construction of differently shaped arches. The combination with blue glazed concrete and glass give the station a signal effect. Strikingly especially the rounded top lift towers. The design comes from Johann Georg Gsteu.
