Erlach is a district of Hirschaid in the Upper Franconian district of Bamberg and lies about 12 km south of Bamberg at the Regnitz and the River Main -Danube Canal. The village has about 440 inhabitants.

History

Erlach was called " Sconen erlaha " was first mentioned in 1062 ( The beautiful Erlach ) documented. The monastery had Schlüsselau there stretched tithe.
