Mouth of the Danube in Eger

The Eger is a left tributary of the Danube in the Bavarian Forest, Lower Bavaria.

Running and landscape

The Eger is created by the confluence of Saußbach and pepper Mühlbach southwest of Forest churches. The Saußbach rises in the south-east of Eger Zwieseler Lake Forest churches and flows from there to the west by the Saußbachklamm south of Forest churches over. The pepper Mühlbach arises northeast of Forest churches by the confluence of several smaller streams and flows around the forest churches north. From the confluence of Saußbach and pepper Mühlbach near the village of Saßbach the river finally called Eger. Between the villages Außernbrünst ( Roehrnbach ) and Denkhof, it is the county boundary and enters two bends finally on the southern direction, the river between Büchlberg and Kaindl mill turns slightly to the southeast. In the town of Eger (upper cell ) the Eger flows into the Danube.

Between Eger and Kaindl mill, the railway line Passau Hauzenberg follows the river. From Kaindl mill, the railway follows the course of the season creek to Hauzenberg.
