Alder is a municipality in the district of Rheinfelden in the canton of Thurgau wine in Switzerland.

The municipality comprises several alders districts: alder (consisting of the hamlets of alders, Ehstegen, Eppishausen ) and the formerly independent local churches Buchackern, Engishofen, Ennetaach, Kümmertshausen and Riedt.

Population

The community alder has 3213 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2011). The proportion of foreigners is 17 % (as of 2006).
