Erlingen is a village and district of the market Meitingen in the Swabian district of Augsburg in Bavaria, Germany. At the district also heard parish still the wasteland marriage.

Until 1803 Erlingen was under the lordship of the cathedral chapter of Augsburg. Until the local government reform in Bavaria, on 1 January 1972, the independent community Erlingen belonged with her district to district Wertingen. On this day it was incorporated into Meitingen and thus added to the Landkreis Augsburg.

Erlingen and marriage parish belong to the Catholic parish of St. Clement in Herbertshofen.
