Ermenonville
Ermenonville is a commune with 979 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011 ) in the department of Oise in the Picardie region 45 km northeast of Paris.

- The famous landscape park of Ermenonville was created 1766-1776 by the Marquis René Louis Girardin. In memory of Jean -Jacques Rousseau, who spent the last six weeks of his life here and was initially buried on an island within the park, it bears the name Parc Jean -Jacques -Rousseau. He is since 1939 a monument historique.
- The Ermenonville Castle (Château d' Ermenonville ), Monument historique since 1930, is built as a moated castle in the classical style. It closes with its two side wings a court of honor, which opens to the Parc Jean -Jacques -Rousseau.
- The church of Saint -Martin, also monument historique (since 1914), goes back to a church from the 12th century, of which only little is retained. In essence, the present church was built in 1534-1540.
