Ermindo Onega

Angel Ermindo Onega ( born April 30, 1940 † 21 December 1979) was an Argentine football player.

The attacking midfielder played from 1957 to 1968 with River Plate Buenos Aires. In 222 games, he scored 98 goals and won the Copa Libertadores with the club. Later he played with Vélez Sarsfield and Uruguay Peñarol in Montevideo.

With the Argentine national team Onega won 1964 Copa de las Naciones ( " Cup of Nations", an aligned by the Brazilian Sports Federation tournament with Brazil, Portugal and England) and took part in the 1966 World Cup in England. There he stood in all four games on the lawn; he scored against Switzerland the gateway to the 2-0 win. Overall Onega denied 1960-1967 30 matches in which he scored eleven goals.
