Ernest Anthony Kehr

Ernest Anthony Kehr ( born September 10, 1911 † 13 November 1986) was an American Philatelist.

Career

Sweeping was a member of the Collectors Club of New York. For the publications of the Association, he wrote numerous articles. He had columns in several newspapers, including New York World -Telegram, New York Herald Tribune and Long Iceland 's Newsday. On the radio and on television, he campaigned in over 2000 broadcasts for stamp collecting. His most famous book, The Romance of Stamp Collecting, appeared in 1947.

Since 1991, the American Philatelic Society the Ernest A. Kehr Award is given for outstanding achievements in the promotion of youth philately.
