Ernest Hello
Hello Ernst, Ernest Hello, (* November 4, 1828 in Lorient, France, † July 14, 1885 ) was a French writer and philosopher.
Life
Ernest Hello first studied law and then theology as an autodidact. His work is marked by the Roman Catholic faith and an almost mystical piety: Hellos first book Renan, l' Allemagne et l' au XIX siècle athéisme ( 1858) was religieuse an apologetic rejection of Ernest Renan's Études d' histoire. Later he translated the works of the mystic Angela of Foligno and Jan van Ruysbroek. L ' homme regarded as his philosophical work.
The attempt at a Catholic daily newspaper failed after two years of dispute between the publishers.
Hellos works are being reissued in English translation.
