Ernest Miller (cinematographer)

Ernest Miller ( born March 7, 1885 in Pasadena, California, † April 23, 1957 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American cinematographer.

Life

Miller began his career as a cameraman at the beginning of the 1920s. Until the 50s, he was into it exclusively involved in theater productions, then, from 1953, mainly due to series and TV movies. Overall, Miller made ​​more than 300 productions. Directors, with whom he collaborated frequently, were Ray Taylor and Thomas Carr.

The collaboration on the film Army Girl 1939 resulted in an Oscar nomination for him and his colleague Harry J. Wild in the category of Best Cinematography.
