The Ernst Pohl Stadium (Stadium Miejski in. Ernesta Pohla ) is a stadium in the Polish city of Zabrze. It can accommodate 17,772 spectators and serves the club Gornik Zabrze as homestead. It is named after the German - Polish footballer Ernst Pohl.

The Ernst Pohl Stadium in Zabrze, a Polish city in Silesia, was built in 1934 and opened on 2 September of the same year. The new stadium was baptized with the name Adolf Hitler arena because Zabrze was at that time on the territory of the German Empire. After the end of World War II, the name was first changed in Zabrze Stadium and then in 2004, Ernst Pohl Stadium. Ernst Pohl was a Polish football player who came to 46 missions in the Polish national football team 1955-1965 and played the majority of his footballing career at Gornik Zabrze. This association uses the stadium since its founding in 1948 as the venue for home games. Gornik, together with Ruch Chorzów with 14 tracks of Polish record holder and won six times the Polish Football Cup. In addition, the club reached the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup, where, however, the Prater Stadium in Vienna with 1:2 lost against Manchester City in 1970. Currently plays Gornik Zabrze in the Ekstraklasa, the top division in Polish football.

The Ernst Pohl Stadium in Zabrze was already a few times a venue for international matches of Poland national football team. The first time was an international match here on October 17th place in 1984, when Greece was within the qualification for the FIFA World Cup 1986 as a guest. Poland won the match 3-1. Since then, a total of seven matches in Zabrze were held last one against Germany in 1996, when Poland was defeated in a friendly match with 0:2 against the team of Berti Vogts. The capacity of the Ernst Pohl stadium is 17,772 spectators today. The largest number of audience was recorded on 22 September 1957, when Gwardia Warsaw Gornik Zabrze and appeared at about 50,000 people flocked to the stadium.

After a ceremonial start of construction on 14 September 2009, the stadium due to financial problems, newly built in several phases only since September 2011. In the first phase all grandstands are built out of the main grandstand, which is why the current stadium capacity is approximately 3000. It is expected to be fully completed in the coming year with the completion of the grandstand and thus show a total capacity of 31 871 spectators. The stadium and the ticket counter can after the conversion, as in the Allianz Arena in the club colors (red / blue / white) become enlightened.
