Ernesto Gastaldi
Ernesto Gastaldi ( born 1934 in Graglia ) is an Italian screenwriter and film director.
Life
Gastaldi enthusiastic since early youth for the cinema and turned amateur films; later he attended the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and began as an assistant director in 1958, but soon established as a screenwriter, at the beginning of the 1960s, inter alia, for horror movies. Between 1960 and 1989 he worked for nearly 120 films, including numerous successful spaghetti westerns, crime films and other genre movies in the heyday. Occasionally he joined as a director in appearance, with the artistic and commercial results were disappointing.
Gastaldi is married to actress Mara CHIANETTA. Two of his pseudonyms are Julian Berry and Gastad Green.
Under various names ( as Freddy Foster and James Duffy ) published Gastaldi novels, including several dime novels and two biographies.
