Ernst Baumeister

Ernst Robert Baumeister ( born 22 January 1957 in Vienna ) is a retired Austrian football player and an active football coach.

Career

As a player

His career began in the skilled steel fitters as a midfielder at SV Wiener field, from where he was transferred in 1974 for a transfer fee of 50,000 shillings to Vienna Austria. After 424 official matches in which he was able to achieve 60 goals, he moved in 1987 to FC Admira / Wacker, with which he surprisingly was runner-up in 1989. Then he went to the Kremser SC, where he could make an injury only 8 games before he played from 1990 to 1992 when LASK. When SV Traun he was then allowed to finish his career from 1993 to 1996.

As the Austrian national team builder took part in the World Cup finals in Argentina in 1978 ( without insert) and in Spain in 1982. Overall, he has played 12 international matches.

As coach

His coaching career began in 1993 as a player-coach at SV Traun. From 1996 to 1998 he coached at BNZ Linz. He then returned to Vienna Austria and coached the amateur team until he after the dismissal of head coach Herbert Prohaska became the interim coach of the first team in 2000. He then was an assistant coach under Heinz Hochhauser, Arie Haan, the duo Walter Hörmann / Anton Pfeffer and Didi Constantini. In 2002 he took over as interim coach the ASKOE Traun and then went to FC Gratkorn. In 2003 he assumed the office of U19 national team coach before he coaches at SC Untersiebenbrunn was 2004.
