Ernst Fränkel (physician)

Ernst Fraenkel ( born May 5, 1844 in Breslau, † 1921) was a German gynecologist.

Life

He was the nephew of the doctor Ludwig F. Frankel ( 1806-1872 ).

Frankel studied at the universities of Berlin, Vienna and Wroclaw Medicine and completed his studies in 1866.

In the Austro- Prussian War of 1866 and the Franco-German war 1870/1871, he participated as an assistant surgeon.

In 1872 he went as a gynecologist in his birth city of Breslau in 1873, a name and a lecturer and in 1893 professor hc He took share in the political life of his native city and in 1903 was elected to the City Council of Wroclaw.

Frankel wrote several articles in medical journals, including:
