Ernst Kümmel

Ernst cumin ( born March 16, 1925 in Magdeburg ), called " anti ", is a former German football player and football coach.

Caraway played 1939-1944 for Cricket Viktoria Magdeburg and joined after the war, the BSG Eintracht Sudenburg, the forerunner of the 1st FC Magdeburg where. In 1955 he ended his active career at the Magdeburg, which now competed as BSG Motor Mitte Magdeburg and in the year of his departure played in the second-rate DDR -Liga. During his playing days, he was appointed twice to the state selection Saxony-Anhalt and played 30 games for the city of Magdeburg selection. With the City selection, he was in 1943 German youth champion.

From 1959 to mid-1980 took over " anti " different trainers activities at SC Magdeburg construction and the later resulting therefrom 1.FC Magdeburg. After he was initially responsible for the second team and junior, he was appointed in July 1962 to head coach of the league team. With it he won in 1964 and 1965 the East German football cup and thus led the Magdeburg in their first European Cup games. When the newly founded 1 FC Magdeburg in the 1965/66 season came in relegation troubles, cumin was released in January 1966 as head coach. He then worked again at youth level of the FCM, coached the team in the junior league and 1983 to 1985, the FCM junior league team.
