Ernst Molden

Ernst Hermann Wilhelm Molden (* May 30, 1886 in Vienna, † 11 August 1953 ) was an Austrian journalist and historian.

Life

Molden, son of journalists and publicists Berthold Molden (1853-1942) and his wife, Berta, born Edlinger (1856-1935), was married to Paula from Preradović. In the period 1921-1939 he was editor of the Neue Freie Presse in 1946 and founded the still existing succession newspaper Die Presse, whose publisher and editor he was, until his death in 1953. It was then continued by his son Fritz Molden.

He is buried in a grave of honor in Vienna's Central Cemetery (Group 32 C, number 42 ) next to his wife.
