Erol Sander
Erol Sander ( born November 9, 1968 in Istanbul; civil Urcun Salihoglu ) is a German actor of Turkish origin.
Life
In 1973 Erol Sander age of five with his mother and sister from Turkey to Munich. After attending to the Willi -Graf -Gymnasium in Munich shortly before graduation, he went to three different boarding schools, among others in a convent school at the Chiemsee, and then started studying political science and economics. In 1992 he went to Paris to continue his career as a photo model. He spent seven years working for numerous designers in Europe and the U.S., as " Armani ", " Dolce & Gabbana ", " Christian Dior ", and was financed as his acting classes.
In Paris, he later learned the Frenchwoman Caroline Godet, a niece of film director Oliver Stone, whom he married in 2000. They have two sons. The family lives in Munich. The artist name of the actor and former model Erol Sander was, by its own account, because its Turkish name " Urcun Salihoglu " is too complicated to pronounce. During his modeling career he used the brief but concise name " UFO". By his own account his " first name " of the actor Errol Flynn and the "Last Name " from the actor Otto Sander was born.
Acting Career
Erol Sander debuted in 1999 on German television as the first Turkish-born TV detective in the title role of Sinan Toprak. This was followed especially " romantic movies " before 2002 in the TV movie for ever got a part in the serious professional. In 2004 he received from Stone the supporting role of a prince in Alexander. His role as Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi in Soraya made him known throughout Europe. Since 2008, Erol Sander plays the main role, the Commissioner Mehmet Özakin, in the ARD Saturday night prime-time series Homicide Istanbul.
At the open-air season 2007, he took over from Gojko Mitic as Indians (who in 1992 assumed the role of Pierre Brice ), at the Karl May Festival in Bad Segeberg. He first played there Winnetou I. followed in 2008 then Winnetou and Old Firehand and 2009 he fought against Cornel Brinkley ( Martin Semmel rye ) in The Treasure of Silver Lake. During his involvement, the Karl May Festival hit a new 60-year record crowd of over 320,000 spectators in about 73 performances. In 2010 and 2011 he again fought as an Apache chief Winnetou am Bad Segeberger limestone. 2010 there was Half-Blood, 2011 Ölprinz played; again with a record of attendances. Erol Sander extended its cooperation with the operating company until 2012 with an option for the season 2013. 2012 was played on Kalkberg Winnetou II.
On August 28, 2012 Sander announced that he would no longer represent against his wishes in 2013 Winnetou. In contrast, referred the operating company that will be decided on a contract extension until after the games (September 2 ), and confirmed the separation of Sander few days later. Reasons for this were not publicly known.
