Erratum

Errata (plural of Latin erratum, error) specifies the directory of printing and other errors of printed matter and their correction. Such directories are common since the 16th century.

The publication of correction directories is at the scientific literature relevant to the reader to communicate the error as soon as possible to the appearance of the subsequent edition. The errata may comprise a single insertion site to a multi-page insert booklet, and are usually distributed free of charge from publishers about the book trade. At a subsequent edition of the book, the respective corrections are incorporated as possible.

The synonym corrigendum (Latin for " to Corrective " ) is the sum of the corrections to be improved errors or misprints in a text or printed product, ie, the pressure corrections. The term is also often used with the same meaning in the plural: corrigenda is the traditional title of the improvements listed at the end of a book.
