Tuğrul is a Turkish male first name and designated in the Old Turkic ( former pronunciation: Toghril, DMG togrıl ) a bird of prey, which was described by Mahmud al - Kaschghari as " larger than a Sonkur (another bird of prey ) ." Perhaps this was meant by the Toghril Schopf Northern Goshawk ( Accipiter trivirgatus ). This bird of prey was used for hunting purposes.
