Erubey Cabuto

Erubey Cabuto García ( born September 6, 1975 in Tepic, Nayarit ) is a former Mexican football player at the position of the goalkeeper.

Life

Association

A native of the young field of Club Atlas Cabuto signed with the club based in Guadalajara also his first contract as a professional football player. His debut in the Mexican Primera División, he played in a discharged on December 23, 1995 game at Santos Laguna, which was won 1-0.

As the former goalkeeper Oswaldo Sánchez to Club Atlas in the summer of 1996 left and moved to the capital club América, was Cabuto new goalkeeper of Atlatistas for which he completed 216 league games in the next six years, while 333 received goals. In Torneo Verano 99, the back round tournament of the season 1998/99, Atlas succeeded for the first time ever since the introduction of Liguillas in the 1970/71 season the entry into the championship final, which was lost in a penalty shoot-out against Deportivo Toluca. Cabuto was instrumental in this success percentage and was elected at the end of the same tournament for Goalkeeper of the Year in Mexico.

Before the season 2002/ 03 Cabuto moved to Querétaro Fútbol Club, which had secured the same time belonging to the first division by acquiring the license for the financially weakened CF La Piedad. When the Gallos Blancos two years later, the participant reduction from previously 20 to 18 teams fell victim to the future, Cabuto moved to Jaguares de Chiapas, where, however, he hardly was used and completed only six league games in two years. After Querétaro was before the season 2006/ 07 managed to return to the first division, Cabuto returned to his former employer, but was also only four times used and finished at the end of the same season, the Gallos Blancos as direct relegated to the second division graduating, his active career.

National

Erubey Cabuto was the second goalkeeper in the Mexican squad at the Confederations Cup in 2001, was there not, however, be used. His only international appearance had Cabuto on 11 April 2001 in a 1-0 home win the Mexican national against Chile, when he was allowed to contest the second half at the Estadio Tecnológico of Monterrey.
