Erwin Gillmeister
Erwin Gillmeister ( born July 11, 1907 in Thorn, West Prussia, † November 26, 1993 in Munich) was a German track and field athlete and Olympic medalist, who was successful in the German 4 x 100 -meter relay teams in the 1930s.
Successes in detail:
- European Championships 1934: Winner, along with Egon Schein, Gerd Hornberger and Erich Borchmeyer / Erwin Gillmeister as cage rotor
- Olympic Games 1936: Third, together with Wilhelm Leichum, Erich Borchmeyer and Gerd Hornberger / Erwin Gillmeister as third runner
