Erythronium pluriflorum

Erythronium pluriflorum is a species of the genus of the tooth lilies ( Erythronium ).

Features

The bulbs are 40 to 55 millimeters in size and more or less egg-shaped. The leaves are 7-30 inches long. The leaf blade is upside - lanceolate to elliptic and green. The leaf margin is more or less wavy strong. The shaft is 8 to 35 inches long. The inflorescence is one to zehnblütig.

The petals are 15 to 28 millimeters long and lanceolate. They are yellow, discolored bronze with time and are not auriculate at the base. The stamens are 8 to 12 millimeters in size. The stamens are slender and yellow. The anthers are yellow. The pens are 6-8 millimeters long and yellow. The scar is unlobed or has rounded, very short lobes, which are less than 1 millimeter long. The capsules are 2-4 inches long and obovate.

The flowering time is in the summer from June to July.

Occurrence

Erythronium is pluriflorum known only from California from the Madera County. The species grows in open, montane coniferous forests at altitudes from 2300 to 2600 meters.
