Erzin is a town in the Turkish province of Hatay. At the same time Erzin is the capital of the district of the same name. Erzin is located in the north of the province on the Gulf of İskenderun in the Mediterranean. The district borders the provinces of Adana and Osmaniye. The city has 30,340 and the county of 39 946 inhabitants ( 2010). The city Erzin is not on the coast but further inside. In the vicinity are the ruins of the city Epiphaneia ( Cilicia ).
