Esaias Reusner

Esaias Reusner ( born April 29, 1636 Lowenberg in Principality Schweidnitz; † May 1, 1679 in Berlin) was a German lutenist and composer.

Life

Esaias Reusner stood from 1665 in the service of Brieger Duke George III. and after his death in 1664 the Duke Christian, who died in 1672. After that he worked for a short time as a teacher for Lute at the University of Leipzig, before being appointed in 1674 to Kammerlautist Elector Friedrich Wilhelm of Brandenburg in Berlin.

He was considered one of the best sound virtuosos of his time and was one of the first important masterpiece of sound Suite in Germany.
