Esben Hansen

Esben Hansen ( born August 10, 1981 in Nykøbing ) is a Danish football player.

Club career

The defensive midfielder began his career in the youth of the Boldklubben af 1921 ( in short: B.1921 ) in his hometown Nykøbing, who joined forces with other clubs in 1994 Nykøbing alliances. From Nykøbing FA 2002, he moved to Odense BK; Here he came to 2007 on 172 missions in all competitions, in which he scored ten goals.

For the season 2007/ 08 he joined the German second division club 1.FC Kaiserslautern. There he received a three -year contract, but he broke up early to a transfer fee of € 250.000, as it according to coach Kjetil Rekdal " just did not fit ." He decided then to his former club Odense BK return. After his contract was not renewed in 2010 at Odense BK, he joined after two months Vereinslosigkeit, Lyngby BK.

National

Hansen played twice in 2003 in the Danish under-21 national team. Beginning of September 2007 Hansen was appointed coach Morten Olsen for the European Championship qualifiers against Sweden and Liechtenstein for the first time in the squad of the Danish national team. Against Liechtenstein on 12 September 2007 he made his first game in Aarhus; while he was with the shirt number 10 is equal to the initial formation of the Danes.
